Four Teams Could Win Out, Who Goes to the Championship Game?

Who Goes to Championship Game?
If Alabama, Notre Dame, Kansas State, and Oregon all win out who goes to the championship game? This could very well be exactly the case. Alabama looks like an NFL team so if they lost a game before the championship game it would be a shock. Notre Dame should beat the teams left on its schedule, USC is its only challenge left and USC has not looked very good this year. Kansas State should also have a pretty easy time winning out also, Texas is its toughest game left and Texas has been shaky all year. Oregon has the toughest schedule left with USC, Stanford and Oregon St. left on its schedule, but it is very plausible for them to win out. My prediction at this point, I think Alabama and Notre Dame. I think K-State wins out but Notre Dame jumps them in the BCS system with its win over USC at the end of the year, plus the politics of how popular Notre Dame is helps them get in.  I think Oregon might lose one between now and championship time. That’s what I think will happen, what I want to happen is to see Notre Dame vs. Kansas State. That I think would be an awesome game.

Thursday and Friday Football

NFL Thursday Night Football

Tampa Bay at Minnesota
Minnesota is definitely the better team here. People are raging about the numbers Tampa Bay put up over the past two games but really? That would be KC and NO, two of the worst teams in the league this year. And they lost to NO.
Pick: Minnesota

NCAA Thursday Night Football

#14 Clemson at Wake Forest
Should be easy game for Clemson, but Wake Forest at home in a Thursday night game and we know how weird college games can be.
Pick: Clemson

NCAA Friday Night Football

#16 Louisville vs. Cincinnati
I’m not sure how lousiville is ranked so high when they have only beat one team over .500, I guess being undefeated means more than who you have actually played. Nobody really knows what either of these two teams are about because neither have played anyone important. I really have no clue who will win this.
Pick: Cincinnati because they had a better game against Pitt than Louisville did.

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

Not only is there a NFL game tonight there is also a NCAA Top 25 team playing.

#2 Oregon @ Arizona State
Oregon has been a reliable team for years. They usually do what they are supposed to do. There is a whisper of an upset but I just don't think Arizona State has it in them. Oregon has this one in the bag, probably the usual Oregon blowout. At least a two or three touchdown win.
Pick: Oregon

Seattle @ San Francisco
Well the Seahawks have the better defense, some will disagree but let’s look at the stats. Seattle has 17 sacks on the year, the 49ers have only 9. Seattle has allowed 85 points, 49ers have allowed 94. Seattle has 5 interceptions and the 49ers have 4. San Francisco was sacked 6 times last week against a mediocre Giants D. I think Seattle gets to Alex Smith a lot tonight. The 49ers offense is better than Seattle. I could say that San Francisco will be tired because of the short week, but it could also be said they will play mad because of losing so bad too the Giants last week. I think I’ve got the upset in this game.
Pick: Seattle

4 Weird Horrible Similarities for Chiefs/Mizzou Fans

Weird horrible similarities for Chiefs/Mizzou fans

          1. Both teams QB play has been horrible and both starting QB’s have missed games too injury.

          2. Both teams offensive lines have been horrible.

          3. Both teams were expected to do decent this year but, both have not been good.

          4. Both have a bye this weekend, well I guess this isnt really a horrible similarity lol.

Frustrating year for my fellow Chiefs/Mizzou fans. Think I might start watching K-state : )

College Football Top 25 Week 7 Picks

#1 Alabama vs. Missouri
The Missouri offensive line was not very good before they all got hurt, now it’s a duck tape job of an offensive line. On top of all the talent Alabama has it also has a great coach, Mizzou has a horrible coach. This will probably be a blow out.
Pick: Alabama

#2 Oregon bye week

#3 South Carolina vs. #9LSU
This is tough, I really think South Carolina is the better team but LSU is at home and desperate to stay in the title hunt.
Pick: LSU

#4 Florida vs. Vanderbilt
This is totally a trap game for Florida. They just came off a big win over LSU and may accidentally look forward to the South Carolina game next week. Vandy has looked good at times this season and is definitely capable of an upset.
Pick: Florida

#5 West Virginia vs. Texas Tech
Texas Tech likes to mess with good teams at home. They also have a decent defense. West Virginia finds itself in the same situation as Florida this week. They play a mediocre team this week with a big game coming the next weekend. West Virginia plays K-State next weekend. But I think the West Virginia offense continues to fire on all cylinders. Texas Tech did give up 41 points to OU last week.
Pick: West Virginia

#6 Kansas St. vs. Iowa St.
I feel like this is week of the trap games. Like West Virginia and Florida, K-State plays a mediocre team this week with a big game next week. This I think has the most potential for an upset.
Pick: Kansas State

#7 Notre Dame vs. #17 Stanford
I’m just so overjoyed that ESPN now actually has an excuse to talk about Notre Dame, I’m sure you sense my sarcasm in that. I just love how over the past years while Notre Dame was horrible they still got as much coverage as national title teams. At least now they are worth talking about. This is also a tough pick. Stanford has the better win over USC but also a letdown loss to Washington. Notre Dame has beaten Michigan St. and Michigan, but I think both of those teams were overrated coming into this season.
Pick: Notre Dame

#8 Ohio St. vs. Indiana
Ohio St. should be able to run the ball well and run this game out.
Pick: Ohio St.

#9 LSU vs. #3 South Carolina
This is tough, I really think South Carolina is the better team but LSU is at home and desperate to stay in the title hunt.
Pick: LSU

#10 Oregon St. vs. BYU
Oregon St. is sitting pretty for now.
Pick: Oregon St.

#11 USC vs. Washington
Washington upset Stanford who upset USC
Pick: USC

#12 Florida St. vs. Boston College
Florida St. messed up last week, they don’t mess up this week.
Pick: Florida St.

#13 Oklahoma vs. #15 Texas
Red River Rivalry should be another good one.
Pick: Oklahoma

#14 Georgia bye week

#15 Texas vs. #13 Oklahoma
Red River Rivalry should be another good one.
Pick: Oklahoma

#16 Clemson bye week

#17 Stanford vs. #7 Notre Dame

#18 Louisville vs. Pittsburgh
Pitt might be able to pull this off.
Pick: Pitt

#19 Mississippi St. vs. Tennessee
This one could be close but I think Tennessee has it.
Pick: Tennessee

#20 Rutgers vs. Syracuse
Pick: Rutgers

#21 Cincinnati vs. Fordham
Pick: Cincinnati

#22 Texas A&M vs. #23 Louisiana Tech
            A&M better be careful.
Pick: Texas A&M

#23 Louisiana Tech vs. #22 Texas A&M
            A&M better be careful.
Pick: Texas A&M

#24 Boise St. vs. Fresno St.
Pick: Boise St.

#25 Michigan vs. Illinois
Pick: Michigan

NFL Week 6 Picks

NFL Week 6

Pittsburg vs. Tennessee
Thursday night! Big Ben should have this one under control.
Pick: Pittsburg

Dallas vs. Baltimore
Ravens D should hold “Outlaw Josey Wales Romo”, or whatever Gruden was talking about in week 4, in check.
Pick: Baltimore

St. Louis vs. Miami
The Rams have beaten better teams, that’s basically why I am picking them.
Pick: St. Louis

Detroit vs. Philadelphia
Philly should win but Detroit is desperate after losing 3 strait and they are coming off a bye week. Plus will Mike Vic fumble the game away again?
Pick: Philadelphia

Cincinnati vs. Cleveland
Cincinnati beat them earlier in the year…
Pick: Cleveland, hey they gotta win a game sometime right?

Indianapolis vs. NY Jets
Hmmm rookie QB sensation vs. Jets Sanchez/Tebow mess.
Pick: Jets, out of pure desperation

Kansas City vs. Tampa Bay
No Matt Cassel…Chiefs might have a shot then, oh the backup is Brady Quinn…crap.
Pick: Chiefs, yeah I’m just dreaming here.

Oakland vs. Atlanta
Atlanta shouldn’t have a problem. It is tough to be the unbeaten team though.
Pick: Atlanta

New England vs. Seattle
New England finds a way to score on Seattle D and Seattle O won’t be able to keep up.
Pick: New England

Buffalo vs. Arizona
If Arizona can protect Cobb they win easy.
Pick: Arizona

Minnesota vs. Washington
RG3 gonna be back? Sounds like he will.
Pick: Minnesota

NY Giants vs. San Francisco
Manning finds a way to win this one.
Pick: NY Giants

Green Bay vs. Houston
I just hope Rodgers doesn’t get killed in this game.
Pick: Houston

Denver vs. San Diego
Again Manning finds a way to win this one : )
Pick: Denver

Bye week Chicago, New Orleans, Carolina, Jacksonville

NFL Week 5 Picks

Well my Rams vs. Cards pick was totally off. Cards D was not the difference, the Rams D was.

Packers at Colts
Its Aaron Rodgers vs. a bad defense.

Pick: Packers

Eagles at Steelers
The Eagles have been just slipping by in their wins. I don’t think they slip by the Steelers

Pick: Steelers

Falcons at Redskins
This one is really tough, it’s a toss up. Falcons almost lost to Cam Newton last week, will RG3 give them problems also?

Pick: Redskins

Dolphins at Bengals
Bengals have looked better so far.

Pick: Bengals

Ravens at Chiefs
Yeah come on we all know this one.

Pick: Ravens

Browns at Giants
Giants should rebound from close loss last week. Browns almost played upset against the Ravens last week though.

Pick: Giants

Seahawks at Panthers
Will we get cry baby Cam or superman Cam? Seahawk D is good I think we might see cry baby Cam…

Pick: Seahawks

Bears at Jaguars
Bears D should have no problem with Jags O

Pick: Bears

Titans at Vikings
The Vikings have been playing well and they are at home.

Pick: Vikings

Broncos at Patriots
Oh boy Manning vs. Brady. Brady has more weapons.

Pick: Patriots

Bills at 49ers
                Niners D

Pick: 49ers

Chargers at Saints
Chargers get running game going against horrible Saints run D. Doesn’t matter if its Jackie Battle or Ryan Mathews.

Pick: Chargers

Texans at Jets
Yeah the Jets show will continue to run on Broadway even though it’s a flop. Texans have a good offense and a good defense.

Pick: Texans

BYE WEEK: Cowboys, Lions, Raiders, Bucs

Rams vs. Cardinals Tonight

The Rams are at home tonight and have been playing well off and on this year. The Cardinals have been the surprise team this year. It is tempting to me to pick the Rams because of home field advantage but I think the Cardinals will continue to surprise us and play well tonight. It does not help the Rams that Steven Jackson is hurting. That does however help people who have picked up Danny Amendola in their fantasy leagues who, figures to get thrown to a ton tonight. At least I hope so because I started him this week in place of one of my bye week receivers. This game should be close but I think the Cardinal defense will be the difference.

Pick: Arizona Cardinals by 10 points

College Football Top 25 Picks

# 1 Alabama: no game this week

#2 Oregon vs. #23 Washington
Oregon offense will dominate. Washington may hold with Oregon for a while but the Oregon offense will be too much.
Pick: Oregon

#3 Florida St. vs. N.C. State
Should be easy game for Florida St.
Pick: Florida St.

#4 LSU vs. #10 Florida
Interesting game here. Watch out here is comes…
Pick: Florida

#5 Georgia vs. #6 South Carolina
Georgia just lost its best receiver for the year. This is tough, really either team can win. Who do I think will come out playing a little better.
Pick: South Carolina

#6 South Carolina vs. #5 Georgia
Georgia just lost its best receiver for the year. This is tough, really either team can win. Who do I think will come out playing a little better.
Pick: South Carolina

#7 Kansas State vs. Kansas
Kansas State will take care of business here. As a Mizzou alum, I’m glad I won’t have to pick kU for a what looks like a very long time.
Pick: Kansas State

#8 West Virginia vs. #11 Texas
I think West Virginia gets a wakeup call and welcome to a conference that matters,  unless of course they can score 70 points again.
Pick: Texas

#9 Notre Dame vs. Miami
Notre Dame should take care of business here but I do think they are over-ranked.
Pick: Notre Dame

#10 Florida vs. #4 LSU
Interesting game here. Watch out here is comes…
Pick: Florida

#11 Texas vs. #8 West Virginia
I think West Virginia gets a wakeup call and welcome to a conference that matters,  unless of course they can score 70 points again.
Pick: Texas

#12 Ohio St. vs. #21 Nebraska
I’m not sure Nebraska should be ranked. Ohio St. should win but I would not be surprised if they mess up and lose to Nebraska.
Pick: Ohio St.

#13 USC vs. Utah
Should be easy game for USC.
Pick: USC

#14 Oregon St. vs. Washington St.
                Oregon State should win easily.
Pick Oregon State

#15 Clemson vs. Georgia Tech
This one could be interesting, but Clemson should win pretty easily. It would not surprise me however if for some weird reason this one is close.
Pick: Clemson

#15 TCU vs. Iowa St.
Iowa St. will be the toughest team TCU has played this year but TCU should win. I have to admit its tempting to pick the upset here.........
Pick: Iowa St.

So just heard that the TCU QB has been suspended indefinetily for DUI, I feel more confident in my upset pick now.

#17 Oklahoma vs. Texas Tech
Oklahoma is ticked after losing to KSU, and they will take it out on Texas Tech.
Pick: Oklahoma

Stafford could lose this one but I think they will feel desperate after losing last week

The Jets Broadway Show

And here we are…right where we knew we would be. The J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS have become the next NFL team to fall under Tebow mania. We all knew this was coming back when the Jets picked him up from Denver. If anyone didn’t see this coming you must be blind. We all knew Mark Sanchez would be mediocre at best and that eventually he would play bad enough to get the Tebow crowd cheering for Tim. Not only has Sanchez not been good, he has been bad. In fact the entire Jets team has looked bad. Now with the losses of Revis and Holmes the Jets problems figure to continue and get worse. I have to admit the idea of Tebow starting is intriguing, it would be crazy if he could pull his magic on the struggling Jets.  But, and here is the big but, this Jets team is not as good as the Denver team Tebow played for last year. Also the Jets division is better than the Broncos division. So I don’t see the Jets getting to the playoffs in any way shape or form this year.  Rex Ryan is sticking to his guns for now and saying the starter is Sanchez but how long will he be able to keep the Tebow nuts off his back. If Sanchez can pick up his play Tebow mania will fizzle, problem is Sanchez is not playing well and just lost his best receiver for the year. Another problem now is the Jets are kind of limiting Tebow’s plays by how Sanchez is playing. Ryan doesn’t want to fuel the fire by putting Tebow in with the slim chance he outplays Sanchez when he does get the ball. It’s a big mess just like we knew it would be and now we all get to sit back and watch the show. My opinion, Rex Ryan should give Tebow more plays and if he plays well and the Tebow crowd gets louder then play him. The Likely outcome will be Tebow playing horrible and thus shutting up the Tebow crowd. If he plays well then the Jets will be better off. The current state of the Jets QB situation needs to change.

Ryan Mathews or Jackie Battle?

Ryan Mathews or Jackie Battle? Isn’t this the question of the week as far as fantasy football running backs. Both of these players were free agents in my fantasy league this week. San Diego plays New Orleans this week which has one of the worst rushing defenses in the league. So who should I pick up? Well I decided to pick up Ryan Mathews because I think long term this will be the better running back option for the rest of the season. This week however it’s really tough to know who the Chargers will decide to give more carries too. Battle started last week against KC but Mathews also played and had only one less carry than Battle. I think the Chargers gave Battle the start this past week, 1. Because KC is Battle’s old team and, 2. The Chargers were still ticked off about Mathews fumble the week before. As for this week I think a big game for Mathews could be in sight. Mathews could explode on a horrible NO defense. I think this week is the week any owner who picked up Mathews in the first round will be able to breathe a little easier, and any owners who dropped him will be kicking themselves. My advice, if for some reason, like me, Mathews is a FA in your league pick him up, and if there is room on your roster also pick up Battle.  Also if Mathews cannot get it going against NO this weekend and Battle is a FA gobble him up next week for sure.
